Introducing Opaque
A private brokerage account for xStocks on Solana. Hidden from the public, open to oversight, and yours.

Stocks on a public chain are a new kind of asset with an old kind of problem. The settlement is better than anything a brokerage runs, and the account is worse than anything a brokerage would allow: every position, every fill and every counterparty sits in the open for whoever learns your address.
Opaque is the account that should have existed on day one. Today it is open to everyone holding xStocks on Solana.
What it is
Opaque is a shielded pool for tokenized stocks. You move a position in from your wallet, and from that moment it exists as a note: a sealed statement of asset, amount and owner that only you can read. You can pay other Opaque accounts, trade at the midpoint on Cross, and prove facts about what you hold, all without the chain recording anything but a proof. When you want out, a relayer sends the tokens to any address you name.
The chain sees deposits and withdrawals. It sees nothing in between.
What it is not
Opaque is not a mixer. Every transaction carries a record sealed to an audit key that independent holders can open together, one transaction at a time, and never alone. That is exactly the visibility a brokerage account has had all along: none for the public, complete for oversight. We think that is the only shape of privacy that survives for a regulated asset, and we built for it from the first line.
What you get
- Shield, send, unshield from a wallet you already have. One signature makes your account; nothing is registered or stored.
- Cross, a venue with no order book. Sealed orders cross at the open market's midpoint in five-minute batches, around the clock. There is no spread and nothing to front-run.
- Proofs: show a counterparty that you hold at least this much, or have since a date, without opening the account.
- Positions that keep accruing. Notes hold raw token units, so dividends and splits folded into an xStock's multiplier reach a shielded position in full.
Where to begin
Open the app, connect a wallet, and shield a position. The docs explain every guarantee, and every limit, in plain terms.
