Send

Sending moves value from your notes to another account's notes. No token moves on the chain, and nothing about the payment is recorded except a proof.

Steps

1. Choose the asset and the Send tab.
2. Enter the amount in shares.
3. Paste the recipient's shielded address (64 bytes in base58, longer than a Solana address). They can copy it from the header of their own app.
4. Choose Send. Your browser proves the transfer and hands it to the relayer; the relayer submits it and pays the network fee.

What the recipient sees

The note you sent, encrypted to their viewing key, appears in their account the next time it syncs. They learn the asset and the amount of that note. They do not learn your balance or anything else you hold.

What the chain sees

Two nullifiers and two commitments. The relayer's address signs the transaction, not yours, so the transfer is not linked to your wallet.

Change

A transfer spends whole notes. If you send 3 shares out of a 10-share note, the proof creates a 3-share note for the recipient and a 7-share note back to you. This happens automatically.
