What this site and service collect.
This page describes what Opaque's website, app and servers collect. It is short because there is little to describe.
The website and the app
The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The app keeps your keys in memory for the length of a session and writes nothing to storage; closing the tab removes them. The app remembers nothing about you between visits.
The servers
Opaque's servers index the pool's public events and relay transactions. When the app talks to them, the servers see the network address of the request and the public data it carries: proofs, commitments and encrypted memos that are on the chain anyway. Request logs are kept for operational purposes for a limited time and are not shared.
The servers never receive a key, a note in the clear, or anything that identifies which notes belong to which user. There is no account, no email and no sign-up.
The chain
Anything you send to Solana is public and permanent, including deposits to and withdrawals from the pool. Opaque cannot remove it and does not control it.
Audit records
Every transaction carries a record sealed to the audit key, which independent holders can open together, transaction by transaction, as described in The audit key. This is a property of the protocol, not of this website.
